FLOW was born during the isolation of the pandemic, at a moment when the structures that sustained my artistic practice suddenly disappeared. The world came to a collective standstill: galleries closed, and with them, my representation faded away.
In that silence, FLOW emerged—an artwork that could exist outside institutional spaces: in the open air, in a public space where people could gather safely, breathe, and reconnect with the movement of life.
I didn’t actually set out to make a short film. I would say the real beginning was observing what was happening around the process; I simply wanted to capture all the beauty I saw in it—the kind that few seem to notice.
Very slowly, I began organizing and writing my ideas, working behind my camera.
What began as a simple visual record of the process gradually transformed into a film. The richness of the photographic material started to reveal other layers of meaning, and organically, the documentary began to weave itself. I became involved in editing, color, and rhythm, inviting incredible musicians and friends to collaborate.
FLOW is a testimony of a historical moment, but also of something deeper: between creation and destruction, a continuous flow resides. Nothing remains. Everything transforms.
